Sometimes it can help to speak with someone anonymously. The following are services that other people have found useful that you can contact by phone, email, text or face to face who can offer you support.  Sometimes online peer support isn't always the best option for support, especially if you are really struggling. TalkLife doesn't provide crisis support but below are lots of places that will be able to offer help.

Wherever you are in the world if your life is in danger or you believe that someone else is in danger you need to call emergency services or go straight to hospital.

If you are in the USA:

Is your life in danger? If you have seriously harmed yourself – for example, by taking a drug overdose – call 911 for an ambulance or go straight to your nearest emergency department. Or ask someone else to call 911 or take you to the hospital.

If your life isn’t in danger but you need urgent support call your doctor and ask for an emergency appointment.

If you are feeling hopeless, suicidal or can’t see a way forward talking to someone who you don’t know could help.
