The key to a successful partnership
Student Awareness
Using a range of different messages to let students know they have TalkCampus available to them and frequently sharing reminders are key to ensuring adoption of TalkCampus across your student body.
The below checklists are recommended guides that your team should follow across each semester, as well as specific times of the year like orientation, exams or holidays to guarantee success.
You can find all of the resources mentioned below in our Marketing Repository. If you have any trouble finding them, please reach out to your Account Manager.

1. Adding TalkCampus to Your Website and Student Intranet
Try and mention TalkCampus on both your wellbeing or student support pages and also on your more general pages; TalkCampus is a great resource for any student so having it as a general resource will capture the broader student population.
There are three main places where you might want to mention TalkCampus, you can see some examples of each below.
(i) A general university/college homepage or student information page
(ii) Your wellbeing/student support page
(iii) Your specific counseling services page

Orientation Week
Email or text message

Pre-orientation email sent to new students
As soon as students receive their student email address they will be able to access TalkCampus, and this can help them to connect with students if they are feeling anxious/excited about their new student journey. We find students start engaging with TalkCampus up to 6 weeks prior to their studies commencing. You can find a draft of this in our marketing messaging folder.

'Wobble week' email
You may have identified a period where you normally see the excitement levels of orientation decrease and the reality of university/college life sink in, resulting in students choosing to drop out. TalkCampus is a great resource to push through over this period, allowing them to connect with other students who may be struggling or who have previously had these doubts during their academic journey.

Email or text message for returning students
After the holidays, it's a great time to remind all students that TalkCampus is a service that is available to them. We have both email and text message drafts in our marketing messaging folder.

Staff email reminder
Sending staff a reminder about the service is just as important as students, as staff are a great resource for signposting students who may need additional support. You could share some information about our Self-Directed Learning Modules, or maybe our impact & efficacy report.

Student events

‘Download and sign up’ competitions
Incentivizing students to download and signup with competitions during orientation week tends to work really well to boost sign ups, e.g. “Show us you have downloaded and signed up for a chance to win some cool prizes! This means that even if students don't feel like they are in need of support now, they have TalkCampus at their fingertips later in the semester if things start to feel more challenging.

Presentation or webinar
Reach out to us about joining one of your student sessions! We could join for 15-minutes to introduce TalkCampus, or hold a longer wellbeing webinar tailored to your students’ needs.

Include a slide at the end of any orientation presentations
Include one of our presentation slides with the QR code at the beginning or end of any presentations over this period. Students can then scan the code to learn more when entering or leaving the session, whether online or in person.

On-campus promotion

Business cards
Include business cards in orientation packs, and provide staff and faculty with a pack to hand out to any students they think may need additional support. Also, leave some around high-traffic areas of campus, like the library and canteens, and of course in the resident halls.
Digital screens
We have a range of designs you can choose from with QR codes that students can scan to learn more.

Roller banners
Check out our roller banner design and have this printed up to display in student areas e.g. library or accommodation entrances. You can also add your logo to create a co-branded version.
Social media

Main campus social page
We know that you may have multiple social pages for the different schools, clubs and areas on campus. But often, your main university/college socials will have the biggest following, and also be the one the other pages follow suit from. We understand this page may have some strict brand guidelines that need to be followed for us to get something up on them - and we can help! Send us your brand guidelines and we can pull something together that aligns.
Student clubs
Send out communications to student clubs (sports clubs, music clubs, art clubs) and to the lead people of these clubs and ask them to share on their specific social media channels/other platforms.

Exam Period

You will get the biggest impact sharing this across your main social pages, so if you would like our support in pulling something together that aligns with your guidelines please reach out to your Account Manager!

We know this is the time of year staff will be getting a lot of communications from students out of hours! Ask your faculty and staff to add a short TalkCampus blurb to their out-of-hours/automatic response message, so that students can receive 24/7 support no matter what time of the day or night they are reaching out. They could also add one of our email signature banners.
