Bristol is one of the most popular and successful universities in the UK,
ranked in the world's top 60 in the QS World University Rankings 2021.
Bristol were looking to provide their students with app based support for
their mental health that provided them with a safe space to share the ups
and downs of student life. Having a student specific space to talk that felt
familiar and intuitive with real time professional safeguarding and escalation
would be a unique offering and one that would provide much needed
support to Bristol students at a time when online learning was quickly
becoming the norm.
TalkCampus was delighted to be able to support Bristol to rapidly deploy
the service to their entire student population in March 2020 as the UK
entered lockdown. This ensured that students had continuity of care
when so many offline services were temporarily unavailable and as
students adapted to a vastly different student experience.

With TalkCampus, students have free access to instant, ongoing
peer support via their smartphones within a familiar and intuitive
network. Whilst traditional support services have a vital role to
play for student mental health, online peer support plays a powerful
role for upstream, early and ongoing intervention.
TalkCampus is a proactive and preventative mental health solution
that is inclusive to all students, whether on campus or studying
remotely. With so many students studying at home in isolation
having someone to talk to and share with can make all the difference.
A recent survey found that since using TalkCampus 85% of students
find it easier to ask for help when they need it and 82% find it easier
to cope with life.
